So, what will you be doing?
We work with our clients to help make people’s lives easier through the power of connectivity. This means you’ll take ownership of multiple cabling installation programmes in a in a variety of environments, ranging from mission critical data centres, smart buildings, prisons and defence establishments to name a few.
As a project manager you’ll be an integral part of our field delivery team representing our business as the face of Data Techniques. You’ll be managing multiple projects and coordinating the project team and onsite engineering contractors to keep them on track and ensure that projects are kept to time and on budget. You’ll be carrying out site surveys, designing works and billing materials as well as monitoring and controlling activities to track project progress, identifying and managing risks along the way.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who holds a valid SC clearance, has a proven industry track record of managing copper and fibre installation projects. You’ll need high energy and enthusiasm for your profession with a strong emphasis on resourcing and activity planning, budget and risk management and developing schedules. You’ll need a driving license and have a willingness to travel across the UK or overseas on occasion.
You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working within the installation, testing and structured cabling environment and a demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies.

It’s essential that you’re comfortable with computers, utilising programmes such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and MS project databases. As you’ll be in a highly visible role, often influencing senior leaders both internally and externally, professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, and it goes without saying, being highly organised, punctual and at ease working autonomously in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
What will you get?
Salary will be dependent upon experience, with 25 days holiday and pension. You’ll receive a company vehicle and fuel card or car allowance, as well as a laptop and mobile phone.
