So, what will you be doing?
We work with our clients to help make people’s lives easier through the power of connectivity. This means you’ll take ownership of multiple cabling installation programmes in a in a variety of environments, ranging from mission critical data centres, smart buildings, prisons and defence establishments to name a few.
As a project manager you’ll be an integral part of our field delivery team representing our business as the face of Data Techniques. You’ll be coordinating the project team and onsite engineering contractors to keep them on track and ensure that projects are kept to time and on budget. You’ll be carrying out monitoring and control activities in order to track the progress of the project as well as identifying and managing risks.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with:
- Ability to communicate with senior stake holders including at senior level.
- Excellent leadership skills with proven ability of delivering time sensitive projects.
- Demonstratable knowledge of project management processes including ability to use software tools such as MS project to track project delivery.
- Proven experience of working in a range of environments such as Data Centres, Enterprise, Retail and delivering IT infrastructure deployments including WIFI, structured cabling and associated active hardware.
You’ll need high energy and enthusiasm for your profession with a strong emphasis on resourcing and activity planning, budget and risk management and developing schedules. Ideally you’ll be based in the south. You’ll need a driving license and have a willingness to travel across the UK or overseas on occasion but working predominantly within a 70-mile radius of your home location.
