So, what will you be doing?
You’ll be learning how to install, terminate, test and certify network cable infrastructure components in a variety of environments, ranging from mission critical data centres and smart buildings to prisons and defence establishments.
As an Apprentice you’ll form part of our ‘Young Guns’ programme and will be an integral part of our delivery team representing our business as the face of Data Techniques. You’ll be buddied up with a senior engineer to ensure work is carried out safely and to high quality standards. Your on-job experience will coincide with your Apprenticeship syllabus.
What will you get in return?
On successful completion of the 15-month course, you’ll obtain an internationally and industry recognised BTEC Level 3 Award as a Certified Network Cable Installer. You’ll also be eligible to apply for registration as a full member for the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals, which in itself comes with vast amounts of benefits to kick start your career in Engineering.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who has passed their GSCE maths and english at grade 4 or above, is highly self-motivated and driven. You’ll need to be eligible to work in the UK, have access to your own vehicle, a driving license and a willingness to travel and stay overnight on occasions, across the UK or overseas potentially; however, you’ll be working predominantly within a 70-mile radius of your home location.
